There will be many new games coming in 2011, including several sequels from previously released games. and this is my waiting list for upcoming games in 2011:

1. Dragon Age II

The game will feature a human character to play, named Hawke. It will take place in Free Marches, in the same world as Dragon Age: Origins. The gameplay will be not much different, but the new dialogue system will be introduced, based on dialogue wheel from Mass Effect series. Dragon Age II will be released on March 8, 2011 (US). I recently got a copy of the new Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit,  and I found it very entertaining to play, so I might as well write a small review about this game.

Almost all of you must have known about this game, since it’s been released a week ago (or if you haven’t, read about it here).

This game is considered back to the roots, to the era of NFS Classics where it’s all about driving skills and car choosing. no tuning, no customization whatsoever. Just you and your car VS a bunch of annoying enemy racers plus super annoying police forces :D. But wait! Not 0nly you can be the chased one, you can also actually be the chaser. You can choose to be a racer or a police.

There is also ladder career system, from level 1 to level 20 for each career (racer and police). You can level up by earning bounty from winning races, showing skills, enforcing laws, and breaking laws :D. At every certain bounty points, there will be rewards, such as new cars or new equipments. The newest game from Call of Duty series, Call of Duty: Black Ops, has been released on November 9th, 2010. It is developed by Treyarch and published by Activision. As a sequel to Call of Duty: World at War, the game is set during Cold War.

The gameplay is much like its predecessor, the player will control 2 characters: Alex Mason of Special Forces and agent Jason Hudson from CIA. You will have access to various Cold War era weapons, including crossbows and Dragon’s Breath (what is it?).

The game also includes online multiplayer mode via Steam for PC. The features different from the series before are more detailed customization for the player’s character in multiplayer mode. You can customize emblems, camouflage painting, face paint, and even the crosshair. The items are also upgradeable. You can also record your multiplayer session for the first time in the series. The newest game from the Need for Speed series, presented by Criterion and EA, this is Need for Speed Hot Pursuit, a remake from a racing game with the same name, also released by EA.

The game takes place on Seacrest County – dubbed “the biggest open-world of any Need for Speed title” – , which have 4 main areas: coast, desert, forest, and mountain. Each area have unique features and challenges. The gameplay consisted mainly of “racers VS cops”, where the player can choose between being a racer or a cop.There will be racing missions and chasing missions, and also unique challenges in every area. The newest title from the most love-hated racing game series, Need for Speed SHIFT, has just come out on 15 September.
